Bluesman Tom Malafarina (Bass and vocals) was born in Ashland, Pennsylvania . He has been playing guitar since the age of twelve and bass since the age of 19. Tom is a prolific song writer and many of his original tunes are getting airplay world wide on both traditional as well as college and internet radio programs as well as podcasts. Tom also plays bass guitar and handles vocals for the Smokehouse Ramblers Acoustic Blues Trio and performs occasionally as a solo act. His reason for founding Blues City was to play yet another form of blues with the guitar, bass and drums power trio format, and to play 100% blues - ALL BLUES - ALL THE TIME.

Bill "Tin Man" Melcher (Drums) was born and raised in Reading, PA and lived on Center Avenue till the ripe old age of five. Then his family moved to North East Reading to try to get away from all the grime, crime and doin' time. Bill always had a "beat" going in his head. And no matter how he tried to ignore it, the beats eventually got too loud. It wasn't until later in life that he realized that all he needed was an outlet for those beats... the drums! And believe us.. this tin man ain't rusty. Bill brand of choice is a classic Mapex Orion kit decked out with Evans heads and Paiste cymbals. Pro Mark or Vic Firth sticks.

Doug Babczak - (Guitar and vocals) came into this world on the back of Hurricane Hazel in October of '54. He has been playing guitar since the age of 10. Since then he has been influenced by many guitar players both locally and nationally. He has been an acoustic player covering classic rock and blues tunes on his own and has played in a few local bands. But the searing solos of the blues always were in his heart. Playing the blues always had a completely different groove and feeling that was "right"! True blues... you can use. Main choice of guitar is a Fender Stratocaster.
