| Malafarina Technologies was started in May of 1989 by Thomas M. Malafarina originally as a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing) consulting, programming, training and technical writing business. Early in our business development Tom learned that he had a natural ability to take complex subject matter and present it in a simple easy-to-understand manor. Because of this skill, his reputation grew and he was often requested to prepare functional documents of Engineering procedures, courseware, machine operating procedures, programming processes and documentation, proceedural documentation,training manuals and other such documents. Before long Tom discovered that a very small percentage of his time was being spent in CAD/CAM consulting and programming and the majority of his time was actually dedicated document preparation and spreadsheet development. Tom realized that he could take this ability and use it to satisfy the obvious need that existed in the business community and to expand his business beyond the manufacturing community and into virtually any business that needed his service. He developed the EASI (Electronically Assisted Skills and Information) system of document prepration using the MS Office suite of products. According to Tom "There is nothing wrong with admitting you do not know something as long as you are willing to ask the right questions, have someone to answer them, take notes and be able to document what you have learned for efficient and rapid retrieval." "If you can take those notes, prepare a document, walk away from the job for a while, then come back and use that document to pick up where you left off seamlessly, you have then created a useful working document."
